Work and Witness Progress

image_edited.png

We welcome Work & Witness teams from across the Church of the Nazarene to join us in bringing Saltwater Mission to life. Teams are currently coming to Dartmouth to help with renovations and prepare the space for ministry. From construction and painting to practical projects and behind-the-scenes support, these teams are helping create a place where women can experience hope, healing, recovery, and restoration.

We’re grateful for every team that comes to serve—and we’d love to welcome yours!

Work & Witness Teams

Churches and groups are invited to join us in serving Saltwater Mission through a Work & Witness team. Teams can help with the ongoing renovations and preparation of our Dartmouth location as we create spaces for women’s recovery and restoration.

Interested in bringing a team? Contact Rick Kay to learn more and get involved.

Second-Stage Recovery Home

We are transforming the existing parsonage into a second-stage recovery home for women—a safe, supportive place where women can continue their recovery while rebuilding their lives. The renovation will create a welcoming home environment that encourages stability, independence, community, spiritual growth, and renewed purpose as women take their next steps toward long-term restoration.

Land Acknowledgement

Halifax Regional Municipality is in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq people. The people of the Mi’kmaw Nation have lived on this territory for millennia, and we acknowledge them as the past, present and future caretakers of this land.  Historically, a land acknowledgment is a traditional practice shared amongst Indigenous groups to recognize the Indigenous land and territory they are visiting. Today a land acknowledgement remains a way to express one’s gratitude to the Indigenous people for being stewards of the land that we live and work on.
